Recommendations

Below are recommendations for creating plugins and integrations with Mermaid.

Applications that support Mermaid files SHOULD use .mermaid or .mmd file extensions.

The recommended MIME type for Mermaid media is text/vnd.mermaid.

Currently pending IANA recognition.
